Pre-employment & fitness for duty
Pre-employment and fitness for duty health assessments help you identify, assess and manage the health issues of your workforce.
Pre-employment assessment
We are experienced in designing tailored pre-employment medical assessments that respect privacy, workplace relations and anti-discrimination legislation. At the same time, our pre-employment assessments give employers valuable health information about an applicant to inform their recruitment decisions.
To be effective, pre-employment assessments should be specifically tailored to individual organisations and job tasks. They focus on those requirements that are directly relevant to the applicant's ability to perform the essential or core requirements of the position.
We provide:
- Job and task analysis.
- Pre-employment medical and functional assessment.
- Psychometric testing and mental health screening.
- Drug and alcohol testing.
- Hearing and lung function screening.
-
Baseline and periodic health screening.
Fitness for duty and specialist assessment
Our specialists - including occupational physicians, psychiatrists and clinical psychologists - can conduct specialist occupational health assessment for employers to help determine an employee's continued fitness for work and/or provide advice and guidance on maintaining or returning the employee to work, if required.
We also provide functional capacity assessments conducted by physical therapists trained in the Ergoscience PWPE assessment tool designed to help determine an individual’s ability to safely perform the physical demands of their work
We can provide specialist opinion for use in workers' compensation, permanent impairment or invalidity retirement cases.
