Queensland has the highest incidence of injuries in Australia, which is classified by five or more days
lost from work per employee. As Queensland workplaces strive towards a zero harm culture, this
statistic highlights the essential role employers and individuals are playing in not only preventing
injuries but in assisting injured workers returning to their jobs.
To recognise and reward the outstanding work being done in this area, Q-COMP’s Return to work
Awards showcases all those involved in ensuring successful return to work outcomes.
Award nominations for the Return to work Awards close Friday July 2nd 2010.
The Return to work Awards are held after the 2010 Queensland Work Safe Awards, run by Workplace
Health and Safety Queensland and the Electrical Safety Office, to reward and promote innovative ideas
and practices, leadership and commitment to workplace health and safety.
