Changes, refunds & cancellation
Can I change or cancel my visa medical appointment?
We can change your appointment if required but it is important to give us as at least 48 hours notice.
Please note that once you have made your appointment you will not be able to make changes to it over the internet. You will need to call 1300 361 046
Changing your appointment time - If you wish to change the time of your appointment you will need to contact the Medibank Health Solutions clinic for which your appointment was made. If you change your appointment giving us less than 48 hours notice, an administrative charge may be applied.
Cancellations - If you wish to cancel your appointment please call the Medibank Health Solutions clinic for which the appointment was made. You can obtain a refund only by attending the clinic — see Refund details below.
Failure to attend - If you fail to attend for your medical examination you must contact the Medibank Health Solutions clinic to make a new appointment time. An administrative charge may apply.
Changed examination type - If it turns out that your appointment has been made for the wrong type of visa medical examination (eg if your circumstances have changed or you answered some questions incorrectly) the Medibank Health Solutions staff will be happy to change your examination requirements. Depending on the type of examination this could require you to make an additional payment or you may be entitled to a partial refund. It is also possible that a new appointment time may have to be made.
Additional Payments - If an additional payment is required you must make this payment at our reception counter when you attend for your appointment. Payment will be required before the medical examination can take place.
Refunds - Any refund due to you may be collected during business hours from the Medibank Health Solutions clinic you visited. Refunds are not available for services already provided. You will need to bring:
- A copy of the receipt that was e-mailed to you
- Personal identification
- The credit card you used to make the original appointment
We will not be able to give you a refund until you bring all of these with you. If in doubt, or if you need further assistance please contact your nearest Medibank Health Solutions clinic.
