Visa medicals
How do I make an appointment for a visa medical?
You can make an appointment online or by calling 1300 361 046.
You will not be able to make any changes to appointment made online. To make a change, call 1300 361 046.
Women please note: To avoid having a second follow up appointment, if possible please make your appointment for a few days after you have finished menstruating. If however you are menstruating at the time of the appointment you may need to return after the examination for a repeat urine test. If you are pregnant, you will not require a Chest X-ray until the baby is born but you will require a Hepatitis B blood test
Note for health care workers or student health care workers: If you are working as (or are studying to be) a doctor, dentist, paramedic or nurse, you will require additional blood tests (a HIV test, hepatitis B surface antigen test, and a hepatitis C antibody test), irrespective of your length of stay. There will be an additional charge for these tests. Please contact Medibank Health Solutions (formerly Health Services Australia) prior to the examination and/or inform the counter staff at the time of your appointment.
